WELCOME TO AVIATIONBOOM.COM!
We are two brothers and our biggest passion in life is flight and all of its derivatives. We launched this web site in May of 2002.
From a young age, my brother showed a lot of interest for airplanes and airports. He used to build models, read books, and watch TV shows. Today, he collects models and flight videos, keeps on reading books, constantly practices his skills on our state-of-the-art flight simulator from Laminar Research, and regularly visits our International Airport to watch the tin birds at close proximity.
In late 2001, I caught the bug myself. My brother took me to Montreal's Trudeau International Airport to watch airplanes takeoff and land. WOW! I fell in love right there. I was amazed by the sheer beauty and grace of these tin monsters. The sound was out of this world. Each takeoff felt like a small earthquake.
Since then, I have learned many new things about aviation with my brother's help. I have developed a great interest for flight simulators and aircraft photography. All of my pictures can be found in the Image Library. Hey, I'm not a professional but I'm getting there!
It was about a year ago that I had this idea to build a web site for aviation enthusiasts. I wanted to provide people with useful and interesting information. At first, my brother was reluctant to help me out. As the work progressed he became more interested in the project and started to chip in. Believe me, it's not an easy task. I was overwhelmed by the amount of information I had to gather for this web site. It took me about 5 months to bring it all together. Would I do it again? In a nano second!
WHAT DO WE OFFER?
Aviation information. It's that simple. We aim to provide useful aviation and aviation-related information to our visitors. We try to cover as many topics as we possibly can. However, we are always open to suggestions for new sections or ideas. We want this web site to be guided by our visitors. Their comments and suggestions play a major role in the evolution of Aviationboom.com.
You will notice throughout our site that we are referencing information by providing you with a link to the source of the information. During the design process, we contacted all of our sources for copyright procedures but the majority never got back to us. Since this is an informational web site, we decided to simply reference the information. We strongly urge you to contact us should you find anything wrong with our site in terms of rules, regulations, and copyright information.
On the other hand, sections such as Airlines, Airports, Image Library, and Links are the result of our personal research on the Internet and our aviation knowledge.
Please note that this is NOT a commercial site. We are NOT selling any products or services to our visitors. Our Shop section simply provides a listing of products that may interest our visitors. If they decide to purchase an item, we directly link them to the company selling that item. Our web site does NOT include any shopping cart technology.
WHAT WILL MAKE US HAPPY?
Participation. We want Aviationboom.com to become a portal for useful aviation information. We want all aviation enthusiasts out there to think of us first when they are looking for something. If our visitors are satisfied with the quality and content of our site, then we have done our job. That way, I can sleep better at night!
Enjoy your visit with us and come back as often as you can!
