Activities of the CAHC are both historic and educational, and entirely staffed by volunteers, from the youngest inexperienced students to those who have retired after a lifetime of aviation. They're always seeking individuals, of whatever skill, to work on heritage projects in the workshops or in administrative capacity. They're on the lookout for engine, instrument or hydraulic mechanics, avionics technicians, industrial and production planners, draftsmen, machinists, sheet metal workers, welders, those with experience in tool and die work, cable splicing, fabric, mould and model-making, painting, woodworking or other appropriate skills.
They're also in need of people for public relations, project management, historians, technical writers, those with knowledge of stores and stocktaking, and those with a background in civil or military aviation or translation.
The hours are flexible and participants may choose their own schedule. There are many occasions to be involved in meaningful projects with opportunities for teaching and learning in a congenial atmosphere.
The CAHC welcomes individuals, groups or corporations as participants or sponsors. They need volunteers, labour, materials, and financial support.
